1. Support W3C XQuery/Update Transform
In orientX V3.5, it has implemented XQuery Update facility especially the transform query that extends the XML Query language, XQuery, which is defined by W3C.
In current version, OrientX support Insert, Delete, Replace, Rename and Transform expressions.

2. A set of programming APIs
In version 3.5, OrientX provide some programming APIs, which can be used in user's project, and use the apis manage XML data. The users need to add OrientX source code into application project and compile together with application project. OrientX also try to provide some APIs that user can add some new component into OrientX. It is very useful for the users who want to implement some part of XML database system. [more]
3. Query Optimization
Now, the twig pattern matching can be implemented by two strategies: navigation-based and holistic twig-based implementations. In the holistic twig method, the tag streaming index is used to ask the query more efficiently. And the logical optimization of transform is proposed in our master thesis. Other optimization strategy is under researching to be applied in OrientX.
4. A set of new GUIs
Now, a set of new client GUIs is available, and the most highlight is the query plan and results visulization. Download and have a try!
