Call For Demos  

Scope:

The 9th International Conference on Mobile Data Management (MDM 2008) will be held in Beijing, China, Apr. 27-30, 2008. MDM 2008 provides a high-quality forum for the presentation of research results on data management issues in the evolving world of mobile, wireless, and pervasive computing. It aims to bring together both researchers and practitioners from the data management and mobile computing communities.

Areas

MDM 2008 demo track will showcase leading edge work and work in progress in every area of mobile and wireless disciplines. We are especially interested in products or prototypes in the following areas:

    - Efficient schemes of query processing
    - Location-dependent data processing
    - Mobile web services and web browsing
    - Ad Hoc networking
    - M-commerce and e-commerce
    - Data dissemination through wireless channels
    - Mobile database systems
    - Query language and processing for mobile database system
    - Mobile data caching
    - Mobile transaction models and workflow management
    - Middleware support for mobility
    - Multimedia delivery in 3G mobile networks
    - TMobile agents
    - Security schemes for mobile systems
    - Trust and security in ad hoc and mobile peer to peer systems
    - Location tracking
    - Data mining for mobile applications
    - Mobile content processing using RFID/Optical Identifier

2 single spaced pages

Description:

The proposal should contain (a) demo title, (b) authors and affiliation, (c) total demo cycle time, (d) resource requirements, (e) demo objectives, (f) detailed demo description, and (g) audience type.

Format:

MDM 2008 research paper format. Descriptions of the accepted demos will be included in the conference proceedings.
